Courtney

Dallas Petting Zoo Animal Education Specialist

Courtney feels that there is not enough support to help conserve and protect the precious wildlife, which continues to deteriorate due to our own destructive habits. The purpose of Dallas Petting Zoo is to educate people with animal encounters so they can observe how precious they are. Seeing them on TV has less of an impact than being able to touch them.

Courtney is a member of the APWE (Association of Professional Wildlife Educators) and the FCF (Feline Conservation Federation).

She is also USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and TPW (Texas Parks and Wildlife) licensed and insured.

Tiffany Tasa

Dallas Petting Zoo Animal Education Specialist

Tiffany Tasa has had a passion for animals from the time she was a small child. Along with a Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in Rangeland Ecology & Management with a minor in Wildlife & Fisheries, she has a background in veterinary technician services and Herpetology management and husbandry. Her ultimate goal is to combine her two passions, animals and flying helicopters, by finishing her commercial helicopter license so that she can work in as a pilot for animal management operations that do work such as aerial tagging/tranquilizing for relocation and veterinary services.

She joined Dallas Petting Zoo as an animal educator specialist in 2015. She has the patience and humor to manage the animal ambassadors and keep the children engaged at the same time. We are very proud to have her on board at Dallas Petting Zoo.

Ray Mitchell

Dallas Petting Zoo Animal Education Specialist

Ray Mitchell has been working with exotic and domestic animals for over 20 years. His experience with exotic wildlife has been the main focus of his passion. He's worked with so many animals, including, exotic birds, raptors, primates, large and small exotic cats, large and small hooved animals like camels and zebras, marsupials and rare rodents from all over, and a large assortment of venomous and non-venomous reptiles.

Ray has always put an emphasis on education while working with animals. He's successfully bred many rare and endangered animals over the past 20 years, giving him valuable insight and knowledge of even the tiniest and most sensitive fauna. Ray is happy to bring his experience to the table and be an important part of our team. He has what it takes to reach out to many children of all ages, teaching them about the plight of wildlife around the world and what they can do to help keep the magnificent animals around for many generations to come.
